AJ4 Sizing — Grade School to Men's, women's math, wide-foot rule
The Air Jordan 4 runs true to Jordan size. Same size as your other Jordans in 80% of feet. Go half up if you have wide feet or you're between sizes — the AJ4 forefoot is slightly narrower than modern retros. Grade School (GS) sizes translate to women's by adding 1.5. Iced Carmine 2026 is GS-only at retail; reps are available in full sizing.
The basic rule
Take your usual Jordan size. That's your AJ4 size 80% of the time. The AJ4 fits like a slightly-narrower AJ3 across the forefoot but the length is dead on. If you're US 10 in every other Jordan, you're US 10 in the AJ4.
The 20% who should size up half a size:
- Wide feet — E width or wider. The AJ4 forefoot is narrower than the AJ11, AJ12, or AJ13, so you'll feel it if your foot is wide.
- Between sizes — if you're a US 10.5 in some brands and 11 in others, the AJ4 you want the 11.
- Wearing thick socks — winter socks or basketball socks will push you toward the half-up.
- Fear Pack 2013 — the original ran half small. 2026 return corrects it, but 2013-spec reps carry the same issue.
Kids (GS) to Women's / Men's conversion
Grade School (GS) sizes appear on some AJ4 releases — most importantly Iced Carmine 2026 (GS-only at retail) and various PE releases. Here's the standard conversion:

Colorway-specific sizing notes
- Iced Carmine — GS-only at retail. Reps in full sizing. Runs true to size within GS range.
- Fear Pack — 2013 ran half small (go half up for 2013 spec). 2026 return is corrected — go your normal size.
- Cave Stone, Rare Air, Comic, Toro Bravo — all 2025/2026 releases, all true to size.
- Bred, Black Cat, White Cement, Military Blue — all OG retros, all true to size.
- Lakers PE, Paris Olympics SE — special-edition specs, both true to size.
- Undefeated — 2005 spec runs true to size. Later 2018 collab spec fits slightly wider.
The half-up debate
You'll see conflicting advice on r/RepSneakers and TikTok about whether to size the AJ4. The honest answer is: it depends on your foot shape. If you have narrow feet or normal-width feet, go your Jordan size. If you have wide feet or you always feel Jordans running slightly tight in the toe box, go half up. There's no universal "true to size" or "size down" for a shoe with this narrow a forefoot.
